Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Business Analyst with experience in the financial services sector to lead the business analysis efforts for a project relating to a technology solution implementation. In the role you will leverage your expertise in financial services, and advisory areas, to ensure the capability aligns with business objectives, regulatory standards, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders and end-users to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for the implementation of the project.
• Financial Services and Investment Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of the financial services and investment sectors.
• Advise on Best Practices for Advisory Services: Work closely with wealth management and advisory teams to identify gaps.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including business leaders, compliance officers, product managers, IT teams, and end-users. Effectively communicate project goals, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize Project Management Tools and Methodologies: Employ project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Trello to plan, manage, and track project progress. Apply Agile or Waterfall methodologies as needed to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Collaborate with Tech Squads: Work closely with agile development teams (tech squads) to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Define and Document Use Cases and User Stories: Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria that define how the video calling feature will function within the financial services platform.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate with QA teams to develop test strategies and plans.
• Proactively Drive Project Execution: Take charge of the project by anticipating potential challenges, developing mitigation plans, and driving forward progress.
• Implementing Technology Solutions: Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams to gather and translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.

Skills

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or investment domain.
• Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Expertise in using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, and Microsoft Project.
• Proven experience working with agile teams and tech squads in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant Business Analyst certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
