About the role
Our federal government is seeking an Audio-Visual Officer to support the Assistant Director of the IT Infrastructure Section to provide day-to-day, business as usual audio-visual services and support for the implementation of their Command Centre and audio-visual services.
The candidate must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
Key responsibilities

Assisting with the setup, testing and operation of the audio visual and ICT equipment, including floor walking and level 2 support.

Assisting in technical troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment, and escalation to external parties when required.

Supporting staff in the use of the audio-visual equipment, including identifying knowledge items to support staff in the use of the Command Centre.

Development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guides to support audio visual equipment troubleshooting.

Providing audio-visual support for all areas of the requiring assistance in National Office (NO) and in State Offices (Sos) and Divisional Offices (Dos) remotely.
Highly desirable criteria

Proven experience in analysing complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions.

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive working relationships across the Branch and with other key stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results, in alignment with legislation including but not limited to Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Management (ISM) controls.

Proficiency in Audio Visual technologies and/or design software for system layout.

Expertise in networking and IP-based AV solutions, or ability to learn new technical IP based AV solutions.
Desirable criteria
-
Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of Australian IT Cyber security frameworks and Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), compliance standards, and security protocols, particularly within an Australian government context.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to optimise team workflows, enhance service delivery, and align with best practices.
