About the role
Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead to deliver and support a range of ICT projects/programs. They will be the conduit between business and technical teams, leading and supporting work to administer and develop the ServiceNow platform.
Key responsibilities
-
Leading, managing and mentoring a development team, including setting priorities, allocating work, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Developing and maintaining development plans and schedules to ensure milestones are delivered are on time, within budget and are of a high quality.

In collaboration with IT and business teams, developing best practices for ServiceNow development, assisting to document knowledge transfer materials and uplift agency capability.

Performing regular performance testing, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure system stability.

Liaising with technical teams and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and/or faults within fielded ServiceNow applications and modules, and those still under development.
Skills and experience
-
Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a development team to deliver quality results on time and within budget using Agile methodology.

Proven hands-on technical lead experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and acting as the conduit between business and technical teams.

Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and integrations using best practices and standards, including ITSM, ITOM and HR.

Demonstrated proficiency in developing and customising ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, and scripts.

Demonstrated experience in monitoring system health and proactively addressing any issues to minimise downtime.

Proficiency in using Microsoft development practices, platforms and technologies (i.e. Office 365, SharePoint and Azure DevOps).
Desirable criteria

Industry recognised ServiceNow certification, such as ServiceNow Certified Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM (CIS-ITSM) or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks, such as ITIL and TOGAF.
