About the role
Our state government client seeks a Solution Architect to manage architecture and security governance, submit technical documentation, address inquiries, and develop an implementation plan.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Project Team in the design and delivery of a business solution.
- Develop key technical documentation (including solution architecture design document and interface specific documentation) and undertake stakeholder engagement and review, including a Project Governance presentation of Solution Architecture on a Page, Detailed Design (diagrammatic) and other presentations, as required.
- Act in a ‘lead’ role for the Project with key Queensland Health (QH) Digital Governance, Policy, Strategy, Architecture and Information governance committees, as required.
- Work with the QH Design Authority (DA) and/or Architecture and Standards Committee (ASC) to support the review and approval of application design and architecture.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Data Migration Strategies/Plans.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a Privacy Impact Assessment.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of, where required, options papers, design decisions and risks and issue identification, analysis, assessment and documentation (within the project’s risk register).
- Contribute, as required, to the Cyber Security Assessment process for the solution, including liaison with Digital Architecture and Security teams for Cyber Assurance verification.
- Consult with clients and stakeholders to clarify and confirm solution design and make recommendations on to meet clinical and business needs, as required.
- Provide input to recommendations, findings and a range of options to senior management as required.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement, assessment and the development of a stakeholder matrix, and ongoing stakeholder management, as required.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, gender, identity, ages or abilities.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Mandatory criteria
Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16):
- measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- varicella (chicken pox)
- pertussis (whooping cough)
- hepatitis B
- Minimum 5 or more years’ experience in working with solution and integration architecture within Queensland Health environment.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in projects focussed on the design and development of new solutions.
- Demonstrated Queensland Health solution architecture experience, including planning, preparing, managing technical project deliverables and navigating the relevant technical authorities.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in healthcare technical solution architecture (including interoperability and integration) and understanding of service delivery and support models and their impacts within a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, at business, Executive and technical levels, complex architectural concepts, drivers and issues, in both written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to integrate information technology with business processes and people.
