Overview
The main objective of this role is to lead a cross-functional team to ensure the successful delivery of work packages across one or more projects within a hybrid environment. This involves identifying, acquiring, and utilizing the required resources and skills to deliver project solutions effectively, adhering to the agreed-upon parameters of cost, time, and scope (quality). These solutions must align with established standards, templates, products, and methods to support the strategic direction of our client.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate discussions and decision-making, addressing blockers.
- Ensure Technology Delivery adheres to frameworks and meets stakeholder expectations.
- Manage technical suppliers to meet contractual obligations.
- Provide leadership, handling deviations from deliverables and escalated issues.
- Communicate team progress, challenges, and needs to Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate staff, third parties, and contractors based on project priorities.
- Understand and align with project interdependencies and goals.
- Coach on Agile practices and lead stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Guide the use of tools and techniques like Story Wall and prioritization.
- Promote use of manuals, procedures, and tools to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Facilitate setup tasks and contribute to planning with techniques like success sliders and story mapping.
- Develop and maintain adaptive Delivery Plans, breaking work into sprints for incremental value.
- Prepare status reports, manage work packages, and assess risks, developing mitigation strategies.
- Support project implementation, promote a collaborative approach, and identify process improvements.
- Ensure timely quality assurance reviews and adherence to standardized procedures.
- Monitor and manage resources to keep deliverables within budget and schedule.
Skills
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Minimum of University degree in information technology or other qualifications or demonstrated relevant industry experience
- Formal study preferably in project management, Agile, or software development (e.g., PRINCE2 Agile, ScrumMaster and SAFe)
- Experience collaborating within a project team and facilitating the delivery of work packages in projects or programs
- Proven ability to deliver solutions effectively within a large, integrated environment
- Experience in planning and coordinating resources while balancing operational needs
- Experience in managing and delivering work packages in a hybrid environment
- Experience in influencing virtual teams, including third-party vendors and contractors
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret technical, financial, and risk management data from various project sources
- Skilled in preparing and delivering comprehensive reports (both written and verbal) that include recommendations to address any issues
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proficient in setting clear objectives and establishing priorities and timelines for work
- Strong skills in workload management and organization
- Ability to coach and motivate team members to achieve their goals
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and projects to completion
- Experience in the Financial services industry
