Our client is a federal government agency focused on enhancing Australia’s economic capabilities through innovative and sustainable practices. They are seeking experienced Automation Testers to assist with various ICT projects aimed at improving business grant management systems.

About the role

Our client is looking to hire Automation Testers responsible for developing and executing automation tests for the Business Grants Management (BGM) System.

The ideal candidates will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of testing strategies and best practices, contributing to the digital delivery and management of business grants programs for Australian businesses, organisations, and individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and extend a complex suite of automation tests in C#.
• Execute, monitor, and report on automation tests while recording defects.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for managing user stories, test plans, source control, and release pipelines.
• Contribute to the testing strategy and support the implementation of automation testing best practices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using agile and traditional delivery methods.
• Promote web accessibility and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.

Desirable criteria

• Experience in developing automation tests for Dynamics 365 using Easy Repro.
• Familiarity with distributed performance and load testing.
• Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD processes.

Skills and experience

• Extensive programming experience in C# & .NET for large, complex codebases, following industry best practices and design patterns.
• Experience writing automated regression tests for web applications using browser-automation frameworks such as Selenium.
• Proven ability to produce test artefacts and contribute to test strategies within agile software development environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web accessibility and adherence to guidelines like the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
