Azure IAM Cloud Engineer

About the role

The successful applicant will be an integral part of a development team that is building and maintaining the departments Identity and Access Management system, built using microservices in Azure (PAAS). The project team is in need of an Azure Engineer who will help guide, mentor and deliver changes to the environment to support new capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Undertaking configuration changes in the Azure PROD environment to support new entitlements management capability.

• Implementing changes in non-PROD Azure environment to support the development team.

• Preparing, reviewing, and executing SOPS for BAU teams.

• Provide recommendations on approach to consolidate entitlements management across the department’s hybrid environment.

• Analysis of complex infrastructure issues and work with BAU teams to resolve

• Train/coach BAU staff in Azure System Administration

• Co-ordinating infrastructure changes to support the future expansion of the IAM system.

Highly desirable criteria

• Extensive experience (5 years+) implementing outcomes using Entra ID (AAD) and AD.

• Extensive experience (5 years+) undertaking Azure Cloud infrastructure.

• Networking across on-prem and cloud-based software defined networks.

• Strong personal qualities including well developed communication skills, an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, sound prioritization, time management and organizational skills. Must also have strong personal drive and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.+-

Desirable criteria

• Previous experience working in a Government Agency is highly desired.

• Experience in designing/engineering of IAM solutions.
