About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the planning and analysis phase for the replacement of an Internet Protocol Remote Telemetry (IPRT) contract. This role will act as the primary interface between the business, subject matter experts (SMEs), and telecommunications providers to gather, validate, and translate business requirements. The position is based in Brisbane and offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact government initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the current state and impacts to the IPRT contract, including network hardware, connection methods, and support mechanisms
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews to identify and document business requirements
• Break down business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
• Participate in solution design and ensure solutions align with business needs
• Perform gap analysis to identify risks and opportunities for the project
• Review the expiring carrier contract for elements that could impact future negotiations
• Gather technical information to support SMEs in validating proposed designs

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working on telecommunications or technology infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with remote telemetry systems or network contracts
• Previous experience within a state or federal government environment

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
• Proven track record in delivering complex projects and solutions
