About the Role

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a long-term engagement based in Brisbane CBD. The role focuses on supporting ICT-enabled business change through analysis, stakeholder engagement, process modelling, and solution design. You’ll contribute to shaping technology solutions and business improvements aligned with strategic priorities.

This role sits within a fast-paced and collaborative government environment, where flexibility and cross-functional engagement are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead investigative work to define and analyse business requirements and recommend effective business processes.
• Conduct structured research and stakeholder workshops to document ICT system and business requirements.
• Facilitate agreement among diverse stakeholders on project scope, priorities, and baselines.
• Analyse and design business processes using graphical modelling to support decision-making.
• Develop conceptual and tailored business models to align with strategic objectives.
• Identify and address stakeholder communication and engagement needs.
• Collaborate with fellow analysts to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
• Research and assess best practice frameworks and emerging technologies.

• Business Process Improvement (BPRE – Level 5): Designing and managing business process changes
• Business Modelling (BSMO – Level 5): Building strategic and bespoke business models
• Relationship Management (RLMT – Level 5): Developing and executing stakeholder engagement plans
• Specialist Advice (TECH – Level 4): Providing specific, expert advice within domain areas
• Emerging Technology Monitoring (EMRG – Level 4): Supporting technology trend analysis and insights
