About the role

The Customer Technology Branch is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work within a project team. The Business Analyst role is required to facilitate the development of the Business and Functional Requirements Specifications for Customer Technology project/s. Without a clear definition of business requirements, as input to the technical specifications, the quality and suitability of the end product will be compromised. The Business Analyst will document current state process, analyse business pain points and develop an optimised future state process that aligns with the business requirements. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, Business Application owners and Information Technology owners.
 

Key responsibilities

• Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring.
• Plan and document the business analysis approach, stakeholder analysis, business analysis activities, business analysis communication and requirements management processes.
• Engage and consult with business stakeholders for analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, business change impacts.
• Pro-actively manage the relationship with external implementation partners, in order to provide solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
• Conduct business rules elicitation, document and confirm elicitation results and document business processes (As-Is and To-Be).

Skills and Experience

• Current and varied experience across both public and private sectors.
• Previous experience working on Customer Technology or digital transformation projects within a government setting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external implementation partners.
• Proven track record as a Business Analyst within complex ICT projects.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects involving licensing and/or registration systems is highly regarded.
