An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join a large-scale Digital Business Solutions – Education & Research initiative. The successful candidate will play a key role in the GenAI in Learning & Teaching project, working collaboratively with stakeholders to analyse, design and implement efficient business processes.
You will be responsible for developing detailed process maps using BPMN, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of new processes to enhance the university’s digital learning environment.
Develop and enhance the Business Process Architecture, creating detailed current- and future-state process maps using BPMN.
Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to validate process maps, elicit requirements and gather feedback.
Create functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories and other project documentation.
Work closely with multiple stakeholder groups to define, validate and prioritise requirements that align with enterprise architecture principles.
Apply best-practice techniques, such as design thinking and systems thinking, during stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate with technical specialists, service management teams and subject matter experts.
Support the development and implementation of business process changes alongside technical solutions.
Provide training and guidance to staff on new processes and tools.
Monitor and report on the benefits and performance of new processes, recommending further improvements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all process maps and supporting materials.
Demonstrated experience within the higher education or research sector.
Proven experience contributing to technology-driven transformation or digital uplift projects.
Familiarity with project management, change management and software development life cycles.
Experience working in an Agile or hybrid project environment.
Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.
Certification in Business Analysis or Process Modelling (e.g., BABOK, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma).
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Business Process Architecture, BPMN and process-mapping tools.
Ability to distil complex information into clear, concise business requirements for ICT solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
