About the Role

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support key projects by facilitating the development of business, functional, and non-functional requirements. The analyst will document current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimised future-state workflows that align with business needs. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, application owners, and IT stakeholders to ensure solution alignment and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and document the business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement strategy, and requirements management processes
• Analyse and document business requirements, functional needs, and business change impacts
• Collaborate with external implementation partners to ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives
• Conduct business rules elicitation and process analysis (As-Is and To-Be documentation)
• Manage and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop specifications including functional requirements, interface specifications, and configuration needs
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve business issues and maintain requirements alignment
• Support the Project Manager and contribute to additional activities as directed

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working across both public and private sector environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and change impact analysis capabilities
• Proven ability to manage external vendor relationships
• Familiarity with structured business analysis methodologies and tools

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst
• Strong documentation and analysis skills including BRD, FRS, and configuration specs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and requirements elicitation skills
• Experience in business process modelling (As-Is/To-Be)
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain documentation accuracy
