We're partnering with a well-established organisation embarking on a major ERP transformation and are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join the project team.
This is a pivotal role where you'll own the migration of business-critical data from legacy systems into Pronto Xi, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and business continuity throughout the implementation journey.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for the complete data migration lifecycle:
- Extracting data from legacy systems, databases, spreadsheets, and external sources
- Transforming and cleansing data to align with target ERP structures and business rules
- Loading validated data into staging and production environments
Beyond migration activities, you'll work closely with Finance, Operations, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver reporting solutions and support successful business adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) activities
- Analyse and map legacy data structures into Pronto Xi
- Cleanse, standardise, validate and reconcile large datasets
- Resolve data quality, duplication and integrity issues
- Develop migration templates, mapping documents and runbooks
- Support UAT, go-live activities and post-migration validation
- Build and maintain Cognos BI reports and dashboards
- Gather and translate business requirements into data and reporting solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, AP, AR, Inventory and Operations
- Drive best-practice data governance and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering ERP or system migration projects
- Strong ETL and data migration experience
- Advanced SQL skills for extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation
- Experience working with legacy systems and complex data structures
- Strong data mapping and data quality management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project environment
Highly Regarded
- Pronto Xi experience
- Cognos BI reporting experience
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar database platforms
- Advanced Excel including Power Query and Pivot Modelling
- Python, PowerShell or automation scripting
- Exposure to Finance processes including GL, AP, AR and Inventory
- Experience within Construction, Manufacturing, Building Products or related industries
