About the role
Our federal government client is seeking a high-quality ICT Data Platform Administrator.
Essential criteria
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance
To assist in the timely completion of the Security Clearance process, applicants must have a 10 year ‘checkable’ background as per the Protective Security Policy Framework. An accumulative 1-year period outside of Australia during the checking period (10 years) is deemed ‘uncheckable’. The applicant is required to supply appropriate documentation and referee coverage from trusted sources to verify where they were and what they were doing. If the clearance subject is unable to satisfy the requirements for a checkable background, they would be deemed ineligible to apply for a security clearance.
Candidates must be willing to adhere to the department’s Code of Conduct as the successful applicant will be appointed as an Appointee in accordance with the departments act.
The appointees must be vaccinated with two doses of a COVID?19 vaccine, to perform all duties.
Skills and experience
The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under supervision by nominated personnel, include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform technical assessment, design, configuration and deployment of new capabilities in the data platform space
Solve complex problems under minimal supervision
Develop and support their own and other team members’ technical capabilities
Contribute to the team wiki for recording system configurations, change procedures, release procedures, incident management and how-to guides
Transfer knowledge to other data platforms administrators
Support the platforms and software used by DA/DE/DS/WASP including troubleshooting, updates and upgrades. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technologies is desirable:
RHEL 7 & RHEL 8
Ansible
Azure Dev/Ops
Neo4j
Kafka
NiFi
SAS
Impala/Kudu
Elasticsearch
PostgreSQL
Java
Kubernetes
Python
Server hosts & GPU Cluster installations, configuration, cable and power management
