IT Recruitment Consultant

About the role
The purpose of the IT Recruitment Consultant role is to provide suitably qualified candidates for Exclaim IT client roles and to work in partnership with our Canberra team, and administrative staff, to reach set team goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Finding and closing candidates with specific skill sets on roles identified by the sales team.
  • Of primary accountability in this role is the search and selection of candidates for assigned roles briefings, and in collaboration with Account Managers, the optimisation of placement conversion in relation to the overall roles worked.
  • Gathering leads on possible live roles from candidates and passing these on to the Sales team.
  • Receiving and reviewing applications and supporting documentation from candidates prior to submission.
  • Assist with administrative duties in support of the core business of Exclaim IT.
  • Developing a network and talent pool of qualified candidates within anticipated IT skill areas of demand.
  • Assessing the suitability of candidates in relation to their availability, rate, skills match, and interest level in current live roles
  • Screening and candidate preparation activities. This  includes phone calls, face-to-face interviews, and follow up meetings (pre or post-placement).
  • Adhering to Key Performance Indicators such as Calls Made, Leads Gathered, Candidates Interviewed, and Candidates Placed, and conversion rates.

Highly desirable criteria

  • Human Resources, Business, Marketing and/or Information Technology Degrees highly regarded

Skills and experience
Relevant commercial experience in phone and/or face-to-face selling highly regarded
 

  • Detailed ICT/tech-focused experience and demonstrable performance within a recruitment agency is essential
  • Demonstrable ability to perform in high-demand, fast-paced, customer-facing environments, while embracing strong teamwork and collaborative skills, and an enthusiastic sense of urgency.
