About the Role
This role involves working as part of a high-performing data warehousing team, delivering analytics products to support business outcomes. The data analyst will collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders, utilizing a blend of data engineer and data scientist skills. The position offers the opportunity to specialise in either data engineering or data science, depending on the analyst’s preferences and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and formulate data-related problems and objectives in collaboration with domain experts and business stakeholders.
- Analyse data using descriptive, inferential, and predictive methods to answer business questions and test hypotheses.
- Visualise and present data using charts, graphs, tables, and other formats to convey key insights and trends.
- Support data engineers who will provide data curation services.
- Design and maintain reference data tables using manual and automated mechanisms in line with the team’s reference data standards.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and documentation to support data analysis and interpretation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Write clear, business-meaningful code documentation to explain the intent and mechanics of scripts.

Skills and Experience
- Data Analysis: Ability to derive business intelligence using SQL, Power BI, or Python, and communicate insights through Power BI reports. Essential experience in SQL data extraction and querying.
- Business Analysis: Expertise in analysing complex digital systems through stakeholder engagement and SQL data analysis. Ability to capture business process intent and information flow.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work independently with limited guidance in uncertain and rapidly changing environments. Strong focus on people and business outcomes, with a collaborative and collegiate approach.
