About the role

The Information and Technologies branch with the Department is seeking an experienced Master Project Scheduler to perform to the highest quality standard and operate with a high level of integrity with a focus on delivering to customer requirements and service excellence. The initial project assignment is to provide a high level of project scheduling to the Enterprise Multi Factor Authentication Project within the Branch, however the resource model structure undertaken within the Branch encourages a more flexible way of working and during your contract period you will find yourself working on one or more initiatives in conjunction with/or in place of the initial assignment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice on project scheduling practice, techniques, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Develop project scheduling procedures and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedules for the MFA Project and sub-projects/workstreams; a large, critical and high-risk ICT and business change program which needs to align with strategic objectives of the Department and current best practice.
  • Manage program and project schedules and identify all interdependencies between workstreams.

Highly desirable

  • Extensive Microsoft Project Professional (2021) experience required, preferably Microsoft Project Online and SharePoint
  • More than 5 years knowledge and application of project scheduling techniques and strategies to align strategic organisational objectives with project goals
  • Evidence of quality, professional expertise to ensure high standards of performance and the delivery of business outcomes.
  • A proven track record for scheduling large scale projects successfully. Manages risks that may impede outcomes.
