Overview

Our commercial client is seeking to engage an experienced MS Dynamics 365 Finance Systems Specialist on a 18-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day operations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FinOps), including user management, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong expertise in financial systems to contribute to the success of our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive support across the core modules of D365 FinOps, such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Fixed Assets.
• Managing user access, responding to service requests, and offering guidance on system usage to ensure optimal functionality for end users.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to D365 FinOps, while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver timely solutions.
• Working closely with stakeholders to assess user requests, determine the impact on D365, and collaborate with vendors on system enhancements or updates.
• Assisting in the testing and implementation of system changes, updates, and new features, ensuring all modifications are properly validated and documented before implementation.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current processes and recommending system enhancements to streamline financial operations.
• Ensuring data integrity within the system and supporting reporting requirements by working with business analysts and finance teams to deliver accurate financial reports.
• Supporting integrations with third-party applications, such as procurement or payment systems, ensuring smooth functionality and ongoing maintenance.
• Managing D365 environment changes and collaborating with cross-functional teams like developers, testers, and end-users to coordinate updates and releases.
• Contributing to documentation and best practices for D365 FinOps usage, ensuring knowledge is effectively shared across the organisation.

Skills

• Expertise in D365 FinOps, with hands-on experience across financial modules like GL, AR, AP, and Fixed Assets.
• Experience in gathering business requirements, conducting system analysis, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues within financial systems to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between technical teams and business users.
• Familiarity with third-party application integrations within D365 FinOps, particularly in financial or procurement systems.
• A background in providing ongoing production support, with a focus on maintaining system stability and ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Hold a valid and current Blue Card, or are willing to obtain.
