I’m currently partnering with a large enterprise organisation looking to bring on an experienced Network Security Engineer to strengthen their security and connectivity platforms.
This is a hands-on role focused on hardening network security infrastructure, improving firewall and VPN configurations, and ensuring secure connectivity across cloud and on-prem environments.
You’ll work closely with security, infrastructure, and cloud teams to uplift security controls and ensure the organisation’s network environment is resilient, scalable, and secure.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will focus on improving and securing the organisation’s connectivity platforms. Key responsibilities include:

• Addressing firewall configuration vulnerabilities and improving network resilience
• Hardening VPN access and security protocols across the organisation
• Disabling deprecated algorithms and strengthening cipher support
• Strengthening authentication services and addressing single points of failure
• Supporting the design and management of secure connectivity solutions including firewalls, VPNs, cloud gateways and application delivery technologies
• Administering and maintaining network security platforms across enterprise environments
• Implementing vulnerability management and continuous monitoring practices
• Supporting incident response activities and post-incident infrastructure improvements
• Maintaining architecture diagrams, configuration documentation and operational procedures
• Partnering with internal technical teams to ensure secure integrations across cloud and on-prem environments

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with strong enterprise network security experience and a deep understanding of secure connectivity solutions.

You’ll bring:

• 7+ years’ experience in network security or secure infrastructure roles
• Strong experience managing next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA or F5
• Experience with VPN technologies, secure connectivity and network hardening
• Knowledge of Azure networking and cloud connectivity
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills

Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, or Azure Network Engineer Associate would be highly regarded.
