We are seeking an experienced and motivated Platform Technical Lead to oversee the uplift of a large-scale enterprise platform within a highly dynamic government-focused environment. This role will lead development teams to deliver critical enhancements and improvements across a complex ICT landscape. You will provide technical leadership, governance, and hands-on guidance across solution design, development, and integration. Success in this role will require strong technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive innovative thinking in a fast-paced environment.
Provide technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration activities.
Lead, mentor, and manage development teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and implement cloud and hybrid architectures, balancing performance, scalability, and cost considerations.
Oversee architectural decisions across BAU and project initiatives, ensuring compliance with technical strategies, standards, and policies.
Develop and maintain system development schedules to meet agreed milestones and timelines.
Design and implement automated application build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Bicep/ARM, YAML, and related technologies.
Drive the adoption of agile development practices, supporting backlog management, planning, and delivery.
Liaise with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
Ensure effective communication of technical outcomes to product owners and establish frameworks for future practice.
Proactively identify and remove roadblocks to enable efficient delivery across teams.
Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring development teams through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, automated build/deployment pipelines, PowerShell/.NET Core, Bicep/ARM templates, YAML, and GIT.
Proven experience with backend development using Web API and SQL technologies.
Solid understanding and practical application of agile development methodologies, including estimation and planning.
Experience in technical analysis, solution integration, and end-to-end design delivery.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across geographically dispersed teams.
Ability to set priorities, deliver results on time and within budget, while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
Relevant IT qualifications, including cloud certifications.
Experience with Dynamics 365 and workflow integration development.
Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL and TOGAF.
Familiarity with Commonwealth ICT frameworks and governance structures.
Candidates must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
