I’m currently partnering with a large, complex organisation seeking an experienced PMO Specialist to join their IT PMO team.
This role will suit someone who thrives in structured environments, understands governance deeply, and genuinely enjoys being the go-to person for project systems and portfolio reporting.
If you’re strong in Microsoft Project Online and have exposure to Project Server Subscription Edition (PSSE), this will be right up your alley.

The Opportunity

This position plays a critical role in supporting the transition from Project Online to PSSE, ensuring data integrity, consistency of reporting, and uplift in portfolio governance standards.
You’ll sit within the IT PMO and work closely with Project Managers, Project Controllers, and senior stakeholders to improve planning quality, financial reporting accuracy, and compliance across the portfolio.
This is not just an admin PMO role – it’s a true SME position with influence across Technology.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Project Systems & SME

• Act as SME for Microsoft Project Online and the transition to PSSE
• Maintain data quality, structure and reporting integrity across the PPM tool
• Provide training and first-line support to PMs and stakeholders
• Support system administration and testing activities

Governance & Portfolio Reporting

• Support project lifecycle governance and PMO compliance standards
• Prepare portfolio, program and executive-level reporting
• Maintain and improve PMO templates, processes and artefacts
• Support benefits tracking and lessons learned processes
• Assist with monthly executive reporting and quarterly technology forums

Financial & Controls Support

• Ensure project budget, schedule and financial updates are accurate
• Support SAP project financial management and cost tracking
• Assist with project set-up and closure activities

You'll bring

• 5+ years’ experience within a PMO or project controls environment 
• Strong experience with Microsoft Project / Project Online
• Exposure to Project Server Subscription Edition
• Experience with SAP Projects / Procurement modules
• Strong portfolio reporting and governance experience
• Background in large, complex enterprise environments
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills – you’ll work closely with senior leaders
