About the Role

Our state government client is seeking a highly skilled Principal Business Analyst to join their team in delivering digital transformation initiatives. This role involves leading business analysis activities using Agile methodologies to develop innovative and effective business solutions within a large and complex ICT environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

As the Principal Business Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating business analysis activities, including grooming the backlog and user stories.
• Facilitating workshops and Agile ceremonies with stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal teams.
• Supporting the implementation partner Procensol during shakedown testing and other project phases.
• Mentoring and providing quality assurance for ICT Business Analysts.
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners, subject matter experts, and senior business stakeholders.
• Ensuring effective documentation of current and future state business processes, requirements, and workflows.
• Providing expertise in business process modelling using BPMN and UML methodologies.
   

Mandatory Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities on large-scale ICT programs/projects using Agile methodologies and toolsets such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to liaise effectively with Product Owners, subject matter experts, and senior business stakeholders.
• Proven team leadership abilities, including mentoring and coordinating business analysts.
• High-level negotiation, workshop facilitation, and consultation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for complex ICT environments.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques and methodologies, with an emphasis on BPMN and UML.
   

Highly Desirable Criteria

• Experience in Appian, Dynamics and CRM.
• Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives related to case management and workflow solutions. 

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in collaborative Agile ways of working, including the use of JIRA and Confluence toolsets.
• Familiarity with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 3.0 (BABOK).
