About the role

Our client is seeking a Principal Analyst in Business Architecture to support their Transformation Office and broader reform agenda. This role leads strategy development, ideation prioritisation and enterprise operating model management. You will design and implement business architecture to support reform objectives, align capabilities to strategic priorities and embed sustainable transformation into business as usual.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage processes to collate, assess and prioritise reform initiatives
• Shape initiatives into structured delivery packages aligned to strategic and operational priorities
• Test prioritised initiatives against the investment framework, including timing and sequencing
• Design and embed continuous improvement processes for transformation activities
• Develop and maintain enterprise models, including target operating model, future state capability and outcome blueprint
• Lead development of the future operating model for the Transformation Office
• Provide strategic analysis and subject matter advice across reform projects, including systems replacement initiatives
• Align reform priorities with enterprise capabilities, value delivery and organisational structure
• Support leaders to integrate reform activities into business-as-usual practices
• Oversee systems and processes that support reporting requirements and governance deadlines
• Monitor and assess complex and sensitive issues to provide accurate advice to senior executives
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external environments
• Translate and communicate the reform agenda to diverse stakeholders
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, evidence-based decision making and accountability

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated consulting experience, including internal consultancy within complex or industrially sensitive environments
• Experience supporting large-scale reform or organisational transformation programs
• Experience developing or implementing operating models and enterprise capability frameworks
• Relevant qualification in business and or ICT

Desirable criteria

• Experience working within government or highly regulated environments
• Experience working within a central PMO or Transformation Office environment

Skills and experience

• Ability to assess and manage complex risks and propose practical solutions aligned to strategic reform outcomes
• Strong understanding of business architecture and enterprise capability modelling
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and contemporary change management practices
• Proven ability to write and review technical documentation including procedures, methodologies, standards and policy documentation
• Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced reform environment
• Strong analytical capability with sound judgement
