About the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of a large-scale medical dictation and transcription platform across five hospitals. The role will oversee the entire project lifecycle, managing resources, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that project milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of the project, including coordination of resources to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, tracking deliverables and dependencies.
• Apply organisational change management strategies to engage stakeholders and ensure a smooth project transition.
• Use product-based planning tools such as product breakdown structures and product-flow diagrams to understand project deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive reports, papers, and briefing documents to provide stakeholders with insights into risks, issues, and progress.
• Practice strong governance by following relevant technical and organisational governance frameworks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools within the organisation.
• Provide expert guidance and mentoring to team members, ensuring that work aligns with project best practices.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and promote a respectful, inclusive working environment for all staff and patients.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience delivering complex IT projects from start to completion, preferably within the healthcare environment.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, Agile certification, or PMBOK qualification is preferred.
• Experience managing projects in a health setting is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, tailoring the message as required.
• Strong negotiation skills, able to balance competing priorities while achieving project goals.
• Proficiency in using project management tools and techniques to manage resources and achieve objectives.
• Knowledge of best practice project management techniques and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience managing IT projects, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage multiple tasks and remain adaptable to change.
• Well-developed resource management skills, with experience leading teams and managing budgets.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure open communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes while meeting deadlines.
