Overview

Our commercial client is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to join their team, working across multiple clients and industries to deliver tailored solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture to collaborate with diverse clients and drive impactful, strategic outcomes. Exposure to Databricks is highly advantageous, alongside deep expertise in solution architecture frameworks and business-aligned strategies. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure solutions on AWS.
• Develop and present solution architectures for complex systems, ensuring alignment with customer and team requirements.
• Negotiate at a high level with clients, driving strategic value and managing delivery effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical requirements.
• Mentor and coach technical teams, fostering development and growth.
• Evaluate stakeholder requirements, presenting solution options and effort estimates to senior management.
• Ensure alignment with industry-standard development methodologies, security principles, and best practices.

Skills

• AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification.
• Extensive experience in solution architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and system design in complex environments.
• Familiarity with data management concepts; exposure to Databricks is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to define and communicate the business value of solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning/AI concepts and security principles across multi-domain environments.
• Expertise in IM&T architecture (conceptual, logical, physical) with an agile, pragmatic approach.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring teams
