About the role

Our client is experiencing rapid growth in demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions across operational, clinical, corporate, data, and governance domains. Our digital strategy outlines our commitment to strengthen these capabilities, and AI is a key focus. The Information Communications Technology (ICT) division is responsible for advancing digital maturity. Within the ICT, the ICT Governance, Strategy and Performance Unit branch is responsible for establishing the frameworks, standard architectures, and processes associated with the enablement of data and AI.

As a Principal Technology Enablement Officer, you will be responsible building scalable cloud infrastructure to support AI workloads and creating a seamless AI environment for development, testing, and production. From designing AI-powered solutions to ensuring the technical foundation is future-ready, you will play a critical role in driving the technical execution that is required.
 

Key responsibilities

• Design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructure to support AI and data workloads.
• Define and maintain the AI and data platform reference architecture and implementation roadmap.
• Establish and manage segregated environments (development, testing, production) with appropriate governance and access controls.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, testing, and deployment of AI models and services.
• Define and embed MLOps practices, including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure integration of AI platforms with enterprise data ecosystems, including data pipelines, storage, and processing platforms.
• Provide architectural oversight to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cloud strategy, and security standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to ensure infrastructure meets privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure AI initiatives comply with data governance requirements, including privacy, security, and ethical use of data.
• Monitor progress of AI initiatives, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and delivery issues, and escalating as required.
• Establish assurance mechanisms for data used in AI models, including validation of data integrity, bias considerations, and ongoing monitoring.
• Optimise cloud usage through cost management, performance tuning, and scalable design patterns.
• Partner with the manager and senior executives to ensure timely delivery of AI initiatives, providing strategic input, technical leadership, and oversight.

Highly desirable criteria

• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions for AI and data workloads.
• Experience in implementing AI/data governance, AI/data architecture and AI implementation projects across diverse regulatory environments and markets.
• Hands-on experience with automated deployment pipelines, environment management (dev/test/prod), and model lifecycle management in production environments.
• Track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade technology initiatives within agreed timeframes, balancing innovation with operational stability and governance.
• Ability to design solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise data platforms, applications, and security frameworks, ensuring interoperability and scalability.
• Ability to provide high-quality advice to senior executives and influence outcomes across business, technology, legal, and risk functions in a complex organisational environment.
• Well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills including the ability to engage with the local community and form productive and enduring relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
