We’re currently partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Project Administrator to join their Project Management Office (PMO). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the centre of project delivery, supporting IT initiatives, and working closely with project managers, vendors, and contractors.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a structured PMO environment.
About the role
As the Project Administrator, you’ll provide critical administrative and coordination support across a portfolio of IT projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and project controllers, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the PMO, while supporting contracts, vendors, resourcing, and financial processes.
Key responsibilities
PMO & Project Support

Manage the PMO mailbox and provide administrative support to PMO leads

Support project managers across a range of IT initiatives

Assist with onboarding new project resources and contractors

Maintain PMO tools, templates, and registers using SharePoint, Excel, and Project Online
Resource & Timesheet Coordination

Manage the weekly timesheet process for labour-hire resources to ensure timely payment
-
Support onboarding and system setup for new project resources in Project Online
Vendor & Contract Support

Assist with contractor recruitment processes and Statements of Work (SOWs)

Maintain and support relationships with vendors on the IT Labour Hire Panel

Support contract administration and tracking
Financial & Procurement Support

Raise purchase orders and manage invoicing for the PMO

Support project financial and procurement activities
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

Previous experience as a Project Administrator or Project Support Officer, ideally supporting IT projects

Experience working within a PMO or structured project environment

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
-
Confident communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
-
A proactive, self-managing approach to your work
Desirable experience

Exposure to project management methodologies

Experience using Project Online

Experience with SAP for project finance or procurement

Experience supporting recruitment, contractor onboarding, or contract management
