I’m currently partnering with a values-driven organisation within the education sector to recruit an experienced and outcomes-focused Project Manager to support the delivery of their program.
This is a genuinely meaningful opportunity to play a key role in bringing an Education Strategy to life transforming high-level vision into measurable, sustainable outcomes that improve learning environments and experiences.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned to program objectives.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a program environment, understands governance structures, and is confident managing complexity, interdependencies, and diverse stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation
- Define scope, objectives and deliverables aligned to program goals
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations
- Manage interdependencies across the broader program
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with program leaders, business sponsors, SMEs and vendors
- Facilitate effective cross-functional communication
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Maintain RAID logs and proactively manage risks and issues
- Escalate where required within program governance structures
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Track expenditure and forecast future costs
Delivery & Reporting
- Oversee project execution to agreed quality standards
- Prepare status reports and steering committee updates
- Maintain comprehensive documentation aligned to governance frameworks
Change & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with change resources to support organisational readiness
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to program-wide improvements
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, legislative requirements and industry standards
About You
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within a structured program environment
- Strong governance and reporting capability (steering committees, executive packs, RAID management)
- Previous teaching experience or direct experience working within school environments will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to deliver to time, budget, scope and quality standards
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Highly organised with strong documentation and attention to detail
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable managing ambiguity and shifting priorities
- A genuine interest in improving outcomes within the education sector
Mandatory Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Ability to obtain and hold a Positive Notice Blue Card
- Willingness to undertake a National Criminal Check
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
