About the role

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager (Operational Technology) to lead the planning and delivery of multiple cyber uplift initiatives within a complex operational technology environment in a state government department. This role will see you managing end-to-end project delivery across high-risk, high-investment infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment with government assurance frameworks, cyber security standards, and organisational governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple cyber uplift and infrastructure initiatives

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies

• Coordinate complex stakeholder and vendor engagements, including managed service providers and internal technical teams

• Oversee implementation of cyber uplift controls and maintain project governance artefacts

• Produce RASCI matrices, project reports, highlight reports, and executive-level updates

• Facilitate technical workshops, status meetings, and governance forums

• Ensure operational readiness through testing, transition-to-operations activities, and handover documentation

• Apply risk management strategies to minimise delivery impacts

• Manage procurement activities, contract administration, and financial reporting

• Act as the client representative for infrastructure and operational technology projects

Desirable criteria

• Extensive experience delivering infrastructure and/or operational technology projects within complex, high-security environments

• Proven experience managing cyber uplift and security-related initiatives

• Experience within justice, corrections, defence, or similarly regulated environments

• Knowledge of capital works, maintenance management, and financial management frameworks

•  

• Strong understanding of government project assurance and governance frameworks

• Experience working across geographically dispersed and operationally sensitive sites

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple vendors and service providers concurrently

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure or technology projects

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement at executive level

• Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

• Exceptional time management skills with a strong focus on delivery outcomes

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of business cases and reports
