Overview

Our financial services client is seeking an experienced Risk Specialist on an inital 6 month contract engagement to contribute to critical transformation projects within their organisation. This role focuses on enhancing risk management practices, ensuring compliance with CPS230, and strengthening business continuity frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support risk transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards such as CPS230.
• Develop, enhance, and implement business continuity frameworks to improve organizational resilience.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, embedding effective risk management practices across the organization.
• Manage third-party vendor risks, ensuring compliance and mitigating exposures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including governance, IT, and data, to optimize workflows and reporting.
• Monitor and report on progress, risks, and key project milestones to stakeholders.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of CPS230 requirements and its implications for risk management practices within a large-scale system is required.
• Recent and in-depth experience in the financial services industry.
• Proven experience working on risk transformation projects within large organizations.
• Strong knowledge of business continuity planning and its integration into risk management.
• Hands-on experience managing third-party vendor risks and relationships.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable strategies.
