About the role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer to join a major digital transformation initiative for a State Government client. In this role, you will design, develop and implement scalable, maintainable SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), supporting modern warehouse management and enterprise resource planning capabilities.
Working as part of a specialist delivery team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and functional consultants to deliver upgrade-safe, clean-core solutions that enhance business processes, systems integration and user experience. This is an opportunity to work with modern SAP technologies on a large-scale enterprise implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement scalable SAP solutions using SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
- Deliver upgrade-safe solutions aligned with SAP’s clean-core strategy using in-app, developer and side-by-side extensibility.
- Develop applications using ABAP, RAP, SAP CAP, SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
- Create and maintain CDS Views, OData services and HANA data models.
- Develop integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite, Extension Suite and Identity Services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop custom components, conduct unit testing and support deployments across development, test and production environments.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance and recommend continuous improvements.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure development aligns with quality, security and governance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Highly desirable criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA development and clean-core extension principles.
- Experience with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD) and/or Finance and Controlling (FI/CO).
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) Mobile Data Entry solutions.
- Experience developing Adobe Forms using SAP BTP.
- Experience working within large-scale government, healthcare or pharmaceutical environments.
- SAP Certified Consultant accreditation.
- SAP BTP certification.
Desirable criteria
- Experience delivering complex enterprise ERP implementations.
- Knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management business processes.
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise systems integration.
- Experience developing technical specifications and supporting solution design.
- Experience mentoring team members and facilitating knowledge transfer.
Skills and experience
- Approximately 7–10 years’ SAP development experience.
- Strong technical expertise in SAP BTP architecture and services.
