About the role

An experienced S/4HANA Operational Procurement and Inventory Management Functional Expert is required to join a specialist delivery team supporting a large scale ERP and supply chain uplift.

You will design and deliver SAP S/4HANA Materials Management solutions focused on procurement, inventory control, replenishment, and reverse logistics. You will assess the current environment and implement fit for purpose solutions aligned to business needs.

You will work closely with stakeholders across supply chain, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure S/4HANA Materials Management solutions aligned to business requirements
• Deliver WRICEF objects and ensure alignment with SAP best practice and scalability
• Define and manage master data structures including material master, business partners, and purchasing data
• Ensure integration across EWM, SD, FI/CO, BTP, and external systems
• Collaborate with architects to align functional design with enterprise architecture
• Produce detailed documentation including design specs, process flows, and test scripts
• Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, performance and security testing
• Contribute to cutover planning and support deployment activities
• Provide post go live support including troubleshooting and hypercare
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress and impacts
• Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift

Highly desirable criteria

• Strong experience delivering S/4HANA Materials Management solutions in greenfield environments
• Proven experience designing end to end procurement and inventory solutions
• Deep understanding of integration across EWM, SD, FI/CO, and BTP
• Experience delivering WRICEF objects and custom SAP configurations
• Strong experience across full SAP delivery lifecycle including design, build, and stabilisation
• SAP S/4HANA Materials Management certification

Desirable criteria

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated environments
• Additional SAP certifications across modules such as EWM or SD
• Experience working in large scale transformation programs

Skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in SAP S/4HANA Materials Management
• Proven ability to design and deliver fit for purpose SAP solutions from scratch
• Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, and supply chain processes
• Experience across integration with internal and external systems
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with fit gap assessment capability
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non technical audiences
• Experience delivering across full project lifecycle including testing, cutover, and hypercare
