Overview

Our enterprise commercial client is seeking a skilled SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. Reporting to the SAP Functional Team Lead, this role involves collaboration with technology teams and business units to deliver high-quality functional solutions aligned with business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in SAP Plant Maintenance to contribute to impactful continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to develop and deliver functional solutions addressing identified business requirements.

• Configure and update documentation related to in-scope SAP Plant Maintenance items.

• Develop functional specifications for enhancements and point solutions, prioritizing standard SAP functions where possible.

• Review IT requests to resolve business problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Provide expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance functionality to support business inquiries.

• Document and report functional specifications for SAP Plant Maintenance activities.

• Support integration efforts involving SAP Customer Service, SAP MM, and SAP FICO modules.

Skills

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a SAP PM contractor/consultant in large and complex IT organizations, ideally in asset-intensive industries such as rail, mining, utilities, or transportation.

• Recognized SAP-accredited qualification (highly desirable).

• In-depth understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance and its integration with other functional modules within SAP.

• Expertise in SAP-PM configuration, including enterprise structure, master data, notifications, work orders, and refurbishment orders.

• Experience designing, testing, and supporting functional specifications for RICEF objects.

• Familiarity with BAPI, BADI, functional modules, IDOC, and API interfaces related to SAP PM, including integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Knowledge of SAP Customer Service, external/third-party services, and Linear Asset Management (beneficial).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Rail industry experience or background in asset-intensive sectors (preferred).
