Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Security Network Engineer for a 6 month contract to drive cyber maturity objectives and deliver critical infrastructure and security projects. 

Responsibilities

• Remediate vulnerabilities and security risks in switching, routing, and firewalling tools identified in recent security assessments.
• Mitigate lateral movement risks by deploying and managing Cisco Secure Workload.
• Support the Data Centre Segmentation project by implementing configuration changes on Cisco ACI and CheckPoint firewalls.
• Collaborate with system owners and architects to remediate security risks and strengthen network security.
• Implement, tune, and manage Cisco Secure Workload agents.
• Design and enforce network segmentation rules using Cisco ACI and Cisco Meraki.
• Conduct hardening and security upliftment for Cisco & Meraki switching and routing infrastructure.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical design documents, and Disaster Recovery Plans.

Skills

• Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in cyber security engineering roles.
• Deployment and operational experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine).
• Deployment and operational experience with Cisco ACI, Meraki SD-WAN, and Cisco DNAC.
• Automation and configuration using PowerShell/Python scripting.
• Strong domain knowledge and experience with MPLS, BGP, and routing protocols.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Architecture and security hardening standards.
• Ability to work closely with security teams, developers, and operations to align platform strategy.
• Exceptional problem-solving and incident management (break/fix) expertise, ensuring business continuity and minimal operational risk.
