Overview

Our large commercial client is seeking to engage an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the financial services sector to join their team on a contract opportunity. In this role, you will lead the business analysis efforts for a critical legislative risk and compliance project. Your expertise will ensure that the solution aligns with business objectives, regulatory standards, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering by conducting workshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders and end-users to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for the risk and compliance project.
• Utilize deep knowledge of the financial services and investment sectors to ensure that solutions meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including business leaders, compliance officers, product managers, IT teams, and end-users.
• Effectively communicate project goals, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with agile development teams (tech squads) to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Skills

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or investment domain is crucial.
• Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the area of risk and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proven experience working with agile teams and tech squads in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
