Overview

Our large, commercial client is seeking to engage a Senior Developer in a permanent capacity. As the Senior Developer, you will play a key role in an innovative environment working closely with both business and technical stakeholders. As part of a highly established and passionate development team, operating within an Agile SCRUM environment, you will be an integral part of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Code, unit test and debug programs accordingly within the specified time frames
  • Perform automated tests and deployments
  • Analyse problems, identify priorities, provide technical solutions and feedback
  • Assist in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new product
  • Pro-actively identify areas of an application that will improve its effectiveness in an operational capacity, and decrease the level of support
  • Coaching and mentoring junior developers
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with the business to provide technical solutions
  • Review incoming enhancement requests regarding their feasibility, estimated work content, and urgency
  • Develop excellent working relationships with your team and clients 
  • Adhere to Systems Life Cycle Development processes to ensure our systems are developed by industry best practice

Skills required

  • 5+ years of experience developing with back end technologies such as Java, Node or .Net
  • Experience developing microservices and applications with ReactJS or Angular
  • Experience working in a cross functional team
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision both written and verbally
  • Experience of building large, custom-built object-oriented applications
  • Experience with Agile Development practices
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or related discipline and/or related industry experience
