About the Role

The Senior Developer will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the Digital solution. This role is focused on designing and implementing changes to existing software components, ensuring the system’s functionality, performance, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to coding, process improvements, and maintaining high standards of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to design, test, and evaluate system changes based on current and emerging requirements.
• Participate in the planning and prioritisation of work while ensuring adherence to technical standards.
• Write testable and maintainable code, applying problem-solving and programming knowledge.
• Conduct technical analysis and provide feedback on potential solutions.
• Maintain internal knowledge bases, coding standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and tooling, with a focus on process automation for deployments.
• Monitor production system performance to identify and resolve bugs, apply security patches, and maintain the system.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines for reliable software updates.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with system design, solution architecture, and software design principles.
• Proven experience designing and securing APIs, preferably with OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Expertise in applying Infrastructure as Code (IoC) technology, preferably on Azure.
• Proficiency in container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience designing and maintaining web front ends using JavaScript frameworks (React) and back-end systems using C# and .NET on Azure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
• Knowledge of automated testing and deployment technologies.
• Skilled in software observability and monitoring.

• Extensive experience in system design, development, and maintenance, with a focus on secure, scalable solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly on Azure.
• Experience in developing and managing both front-end and back-end systems.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
