We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a critical network transformation project within a federal government agency. In this pivotal role, you will act as a key escalation point for technical issues, providing expert support and ensuring the smooth delivery and operation of complex network infrastructure solutions. This position will see you leverage your deep technical expertise to guide project teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain momentum across major network deployment and integration activities.
Provide advanced technical support and act as an escalation point for the agency’s Network Project.
Deliver expert advice on Fortinet and Azure-based network environments.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges to ensure minimal downtime and continuous project progression.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure infrastructure outcomes.
Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Map data movements across multiple network zones and environments.
Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
Prior experience in federal or government network projects with a current Baseline Security Clearance.
Proven experience working in a contemporary, secure ICT environment with expertise in technical services, particularly in:
Azure Cloud Infrastructure
FortiGate Firewalls
Fortinet SD-WAN
Fortinet Azure NVA deployments
FortiClient
FortiSASE
FortiSandbox
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, especially in discussing technical and strategic matters with non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated high level of attention to detail, including the ability to write detailed technical documentation.
Ability to map data movements across network zones and cross-domain environments.
Strong skills in creating detailed network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
