About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering, an Information Technology (IT) project, utilising Microsoft Dynamics, to meet the needs of the business. You will undertake a leadership role to drive the project management end-to-end, project governance, maintain a customer/stakeholder focus and ensure project delivery methodologies are adhered.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a technology project based on a Microsoft Dynamics solution, with accountability for the project, its progress, reporting and outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, with internal teams, the business, and external vendor/s, including communication, negotiation and influencing stakeholders to work together to meet project deadlines.
- Develop project plan and be responsible for the delivery based on agreed timelines, schedule, budget, scope and quality parameters to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage project issues, risks, and problems in consultation with stakeholders to ensure appropriate controls and mitigation strategies are in place for timely delivery.
- Advise Project Executive and Board of any deviations from the agreed plan that exceeds set tolerances and provide recommendations on way forward.
Highly desirable
- The successful applicant is likely to have at least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager
- Experience in delivering projects based on Microsoft Dynamics technology
- Ability to deliver projects under strong governance both at project boards and program board levels
- Proven project delivery experience using Prince2 / Agile methodologies in a large organisation.
- Proven experience in successfully managing teams of staff with multi-disciplinary skillsets.
- Proven skills in managing MS Project and Jira as project management tools.
