About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer / Salesforce Solution Lead to join a high-performing ICT team within a large Federal Government Department. This position plays a key leadership role in shaping and delivering Salesforce solutions that support critical government operations.

Must be an Australian citizen with NV1 or higher security clearance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret business needs and design tailored Salesforce solutions aligned to organisational objectives
• Develop and present solution prototypes and technical designs to demonstrate feasibility and value
• Lead the technical Salesforce delivery team to ensure high-quality implementation
• Review developer work, champion best practice and recommend improvements
• Ensure compliance with Federal Government standards including ISM controls and the Archives Act
• Manage the delivery of multiple concurrent Salesforce development projects
• Define project activities and milestones within an agile environment
• Manage Salesforce releases through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain high-quality production environments through coordination with other Solution Leads
• Manage Salesforce development environments including test data management and refreshes
   

Highly Desirable Criteria

• 5+ years’ experience leading enterprise-level Salesforce projects
• Deep technical expertise in Apex, LWC, Aura, and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Strong declarative configuration skills including Flows, Permission Sets and Security Models
• Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Service Cloud (preferably Public Sector Cloud), case management and omni-channel routing
• Strong capability in technical design, documentation and alignment with enterprise architecture
• Experience troubleshooting development, configuration and deployment errors
• Experience managing Salesforce releases via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide persuasive, evidence-based recommendations

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with portal and console interface design using Salesforce Lightning and Omnistudio
• Prior experience implementing and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce workloads
• Ability to attend the Canberra office in-person three days per week
• Salesforce Platform Developer II and Omnistudio certifications

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated leadership in Salesforce delivery within complex organisations
• Strong capability across Apex development, solution design, DevOps and environment management
• Understanding of Federal Government compliance frameworks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects
• Relevant Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I & Salesforce Administrator required)
• Familiarity with SFIA skill levels:
• Software Design (Level 5)
• Solution Architecture (Level 4)
• Programming/Software Development (Level 5)
• Data Modelling & Design (Level 4)
• Deployment (Level 3/4)
