About the role

This role focuses on Java-Oracle Development within a dynamic, collaborative environment. As a Software Engineer, you will lead and contribute to software development projects, ensuring quality, optimised code, and technical excellence. You will also support team members by providing mentorship and leadership while maintaining system functionality and user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Oracle ADF Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle ADF applications to meet functional requirements and improve user experience.
• Customise and extend existing Oracle ADF modules to add new features as needed.

Database Management and Integration:

• Work with Oracle databases, writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for seamless data integration and retrieval.
• Optimise database performance and conduct data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.

System Enhancements and Support:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system enhancements and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle ADF applications, ensuring system uptime.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and user manuals.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security protocols, and best practices in Oracle Forms development.

Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

• Conduct peer code reviews and testing.
• Mentor team members, fostering skill development and knowledge-sharing.

Highly desirable criteria

• Proven ability to lead and contribute to large-scale software development projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience collaborating with business users and technical teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers in technical roles.

Desirable criteria

• Experience in business workflow modelling, SOA integration, and Oracle BPM/BPEL.
• Proficiency in developing accessible applications following WCAG standards.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline operations.

Over 10 years of experience with Oracle/Java technologies, including:

• JQuery and JavaScript
• User interface design
• Java/JSF
• Web Services (REST and SOAP)
• Oracle Application Developer Framework (ADF)
• Oracle DBMS
• BI-Publisher
• Oracle BPEL and BPM
• BPM/SOA integration
