About the role
Our state government client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in a dynamic and high-impact infrastructure project. This exciting opportunity involves shaping and delivering technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture principles and best practices. You will have the chance to influence critical design decisions, ensure seamless integration of complex systems, and contribute to the success of a project that directly impacts the community.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and provide recommendations for the foundation architecture. Examples of the foundation architecture include Office 365, Corporate Devices, Active Directory, Application Tenancy, DNS and Cyber Security.
- Analyse current service provider ICT architectural solutions and provide recommendations for application hosting solutions that align with strategic direction.
- Analyse emerging technologies and make recommendations as to the applicability for inclusion in the technical and security architecture that align with the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA).
- Translating business needs for ICT systems into coherent and effective technical options to deliver detailed design specifications aligned with business requirements.
- Partnering with key Enterprise Architecture stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors developing strategic working relationships to ensure solutions are aligned to Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture and Information Management requirements.
- Developing cost estimates for solutions architecture and design to feed into quotes, project budgets and business cases.
- Contributing to the development of strategic project plans and schedules, including the identification of project risks, issues and appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Identifying solutions architecture resource requirements according to project schedules and ICT deliverables to meet project milestones.
