About the role

Our Federal Government client is looking for a Senior Specialist – Systems Integration. This role involves investigating production issues, supporting critical integration platforms, and designing reliable integration solutions across complex systems. You will work closely with application teams and stakeholders to improve system performance, interoperability, and overall service reliability.

This opportunity would suit someone with strong experience across IBM integration technologies and enterprise messaging environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document and implement service interfaces, integration logic and XML schema solutions for messaging platforms
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across messaging and integration environments
• Design, build and implement web services, REST services and messaging solutions for internal and external users
• Work closely with development teams to deliver scalable and reusable integration solutions
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, auditing, performance and testing tools
• Provide technical guidance and support for complex messaging and integration requirements
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and team members

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience implementing IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) solutions using Java and/or ESQL
• Experience supporting IBM Integration Bus/IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM MQ and IBM Datapower deployments
• Strong experience with SSL, PKI concepts, XML standards and XML schema design
• Experience designing and implementing Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions

Desirable criteria

• Familiarity with REST and JSON API design concepts and implementation
• Experience developing monitoring and logging capabilities within integration environments
• Previous experience working within production support environments

Skills and experience

• Strong technical experience across enterprise integration and messaging technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments
• Strong understanding of integration design principles, interoperability and reusable solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience mentoring and supporting technical team members
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and environments
