About the role

Our Federal Government client is seeking experienced Senior Systems Analysts to join their team – multiple roles available.

Key responsibilities

• Undertaking a senior and/or lead role in the execution of a range of activities and tasks related to:

  • Managing the business requirements, expectations and scope;

  • Assisting with development of User Stories or high and detailed level requirements;

  • Facilitating workshops and group discussion;

  • Participating in Agile team scrums;

  • Performing solution design and problem analysis;

  • Providing/writing solution and functional design documents;

  • Looking for continuous business improvement;

  • Identifying and reporting issues and risks;

  • Mentoring and assist with development of junior business analysts.

• Working with Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and key stakeholders to identify, define, prioritise and implement projects that deliver value through the implementation of new system functionalities, which meet both business areas and user expectations.

• Providing ad-hoc services to the project stakeholders and project team.

Skills and experience

• Must have professional skills and experience working in a systems analyst role (minimum three years);

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, consultation, coaching and liaison skills

• Strong understanding of the ICT functions

• Previous sound understanding and experience working on medium to large scale ICT projects
   

Desirable criteria

• Previous experience working in Agile projects including experience in and/or exposure to Octane, ADO and Kanban.

• Experience and knowledge of the following tools: ADO, SQL, Visio, XML, Sharepoint (or similar)

• Previous experience working within an IT project environment (minimum three years)

• Previous experience working in a leadership role
