About the Role
Our Queensland state government client is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to manage the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it meets current and future business needs, and supporting the delivery of enhancements and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver development and support services for the design, development, documentation, testing, implementation, and operations of the ServiceNow platform and its integrations.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Testing teams, and other functions on projects and operational tasks.
Lead the delivery of enhancements under the direction of the SRO or Project Manager.
Ensure quality implementations through agreed processes and accurate documentation.
Review and revise designs and solutions for usability, testing scenarios, and test cases.
Conduct system and integration testing with sample and live data across various environments.
Perform technical tasks to support, upgrade, and maintain the ServiceNow platform and its components.
Highly Desirable Criteria
At least 5+ years of relevant experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support services for ServiceNow.
ServiceNow product knowledge in domains such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, and CMDB.
Proficiency in configuring and developing ServiceNow using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, ACLs, Service Portal, Service Catalogue, and Forms.
Experience with ServiceNow technologies such as JavaScript/Glide, Angular, HTML, PowerShell, and Jelly scripting.
Developing integrations using REST, SOAP, and JSON APIs.
Building solutions with scripted APIs, Flows, Catalogue Builder, and Spokes (e.g., Workday, AWS, Azure).
Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and experience in business and technology integration for ICT-led projects.
Understanding of change management processes and their impact on individuals and teams.
Sound understanding of Public Safety Agencies’ mission and objectives.
Skills and Experience
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex issues.
Excellent communication skills for effective progress reporting and fault escalation.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience in delivering high-quality technical solutions within a government or large organisational context.
