About the role

Our state government client is looking for a ServiceNow Service Co-Ordinator who will play a critical role in this uplift as you lead and co-ordinate external?suppliers?and internal stakeholders throughout rectification and continuous improvement activities to deliver?on the project outcomes, from initiation through to client acceptance and vendor management, ensuring benefits realisation, whilst at all times maintaining a customer focus.
 

Key responsibilities

  • On behalf of the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO), ensure that the project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. 
  • Establish structured project methodology and governance in accordance with the department’s Standards and maintain comprehensive project documentation that delivers effective and efficient project management. 
  • Define, initiate, and establish project scope, objectives, schedule, budget, role clarity, responsibilities, milestones, deliverables, and other project outcomes in common agreement with the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) and Project Team. 
  • Coordinate, manage and maintain project plans, schedules, risks and issues (RAID), budgets and cost tracking, reports and other project artifacts whilst ensuring adherence to corporate policies, procurement, and assurance frameworks. 
  • Provide advice and recommendations to decision makers at all levels regarding project deliverables. 
  • Coordinate, enable and support the existing suppliers and internal stakeholders to produce a Business Case as defined by the project scope with acceptance and sign off by the project stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate, enable and support the specialist resources to produce a detailed Business Case as defined by the project scope, with acceptance and sign off by the project stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate, enable and support the project resources to produce future business requirements (functional and non-functional) in alignment with project scope and outcomes, with acceptance and sign off by the project stakeholders. 
  • Lead and motivate project streams and team members to work cohesively in realising the project deliverables.
  • Engage, manage, coordinate, and communicate with vendors and contractors responsible for delivery of project milestones and deliverables in accordance with agreed statement of works. 
  • Work with the Principal ICT Contract Manager and rocurement Team to establish and manage the required procurements and contracts for the projects. 
  • Effectively communicate, consult, and negotiate with other public sector agencies, private sector bodies, customers, and other key stakeholders. 
  • Liaise and delegate project tasks to stream or team leads to ensure effective span of control and supervision of key activities. 
  • Regularly communicate and report with the project leadership and other stakeholders as per schedule or as required. 

 

Desirable criteria

  • At least 10 years Project Management experience with proven experience of ServiceNow development and uplift, preferably within a government organisation.
  • Highly developed leadership and project management skills. 
  • Extensive experience in successfully leading high-profile, complex projects and/or programs. 
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and influence a broad cross-section of stakeholders to achieve outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in business and technology integration for ICT lead projects. 
  • Well-developed understanding of the application of change management processes and the impact of change on individuals and work groups within commercially driven client focused organisations. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of Queensland Government Procurement Policies and Procedures. 
  • Demonstrated experience of Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 or other project management software. 
  • Sound knowledge of Public Safety Agencies’ mission and objectives. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification or equivalent.
