About the Role

The Solution Designer will support the configuration of new functional solutions and provide ongoing support for ICT solutions. They will assist in the design and optimization of enterprise-wide ICT technology solutions, focusing on aligning ICT offerings with business requirements. Working under the general direction of senior staff, the Solution Designer exercises independent judgment, manages their workload, and contributes to team objectives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Analysis & Design
  • Analyze business processes and requirements to create solution specifications for projects.
  • Conduct feasibility, effort, and risk assessments for technical and application solutions.
• Project & Quality Management
  • Develop and review business solution designs, including blueprinting and solution design documentation.
  • Perform quality reviews of specifications and design documents.
• Technical Support & Implementation
  • Configure and develop ICT applications to meet business needs.
  • Conduct testing, support deployments, and monitor the performance of business solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely project implementation.
  • Prepare reports and corporate and technical documentation for senior review.
• Process Improvement & Team Support
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practice development.
  • Allocate tasks to team members based on issue complexity and staff capabilities.
• Risk Management & Escalation
  • Assist in cost analysis activities.
  • Escalate issues and propose alternative approaches as necessary.

Highly Desirable Criteria

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional technology solutions, including the development of specifications for complex ICT systems.
• Strong technical and analytical skills that contribute to the implementation of system solutions.
• Knowledge of SDLC, development processes, and agile methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Desirable Criteria

• Understanding of ICT product offerings and their compatibility with other system components.
• Experience with project management and quality control processes.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a system analyst or technical business analyst, focusing on complex ICT system builds.
• Solid knowledge of enterprise-wide ICT solutions and design methodologies.
