About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a major Cyber Security Program delivering enterprise security initiatives across a large and complex ICT environment. You will identify, analyse and document cyber security system and application requirements, ensuring the delivery of secure, integrated and effective technical solutions.

Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions, produce high quality documentation, and support the implementation of new cyber security technologies. You will collaborate with architects, technical specialists, vendors and governance groups to deliver projects within agreed schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse ICT and cyber security systems to identify technical requirements and solution options.
  • Gather, document and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Produce requirements specifications, solution designs, technical documentation and support procedures.
  • Document system interfaces and application integrations to support interoperability.
  • Work with stakeholders to analyse and improve technical processes.
  • Support the delivery of cyber security products and solutions across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, technical consultants and change managers throughout project delivery.
  • Manage assigned deliverables and ensure milestones are achieved within agreed timeframes.
  • Engage with technical SMEs, governance groups, vendors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute within a matrix project environment by providing technical advice and supporting broader project activities where required.

Highly desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated experience performing technical analysis within large cyber security programs or projects.
  • Strong knowledge of network and cloud security technologies, including firewalls, SaaS platforms and Secure Web Gateway solutions.
  • Experience with firewall monitoring, management and automation tools.
  • Experience planning releases and deploying security solutions across large enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience documenting application interfaces, integrations and system interconnectivity.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across technical teams, operational stakeholders and external technology vendors.
  • Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within large, complex enterprise ICT environments.
  • Previous experience within the healthcare sector is highly regarded.

Desirable criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
  • Open C Class Driver Licence.
  • Experience working within Queensland Government or other large public sector organisations.

Skills and experience

  • Strong technical analysis and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience producing high quality functional and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of cyber security technologies, enterprise networking and cloud security.
  • Understanding of systems integration and application interface design.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical environments and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience working across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate technical discussions.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to high performing project teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable within fast paced, matrix delivery environments.
