We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale Spatial Information Integration Project (SIIP) within a government-focused environment. This is a strategic initiative aimed at modernising integrations for spatial data systems and retiring legacy platforms, playing a key role in enabling the organisation’s digital transformation. Reporting to the Lead Solution Architect, this role is critical in documenting, analysing, and communicating technical solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to understand and document technical architecture and integration strategies.
• Analyse, capture, and translate business and technical requirements into clear solution documentation.
• Support the development of integration patterns, including API-based and Event-Driven Architectures (EDA).
• Assist with the mapping and migration of legacy systems to modern cloud platforms.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, solution designs, data flow diagrams, and integration documentation.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to capture requirements and validate solution approaches.
• Ensure documentation supports scalability, security, and maintainability of solutions.
• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within enterprise IT environments.
• Background in spatial data systems or geospatial technologies.
• Strong understanding of integration architectures, including API and event-driven models.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure API Management (APIM), Confluent Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work with legacy technologies and support transition to cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in using Confluence, Jira, Signavio, or equivalent documentation and modelling tools.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of enterprise security and data governance frameworks.
• Experience in large-scale transformation projects within government or public sector environments.
• Exposure to architectural documentation and solutions across AWS, Azure, and Kafka.
• Understanding of workload assessment, sequencing, and capacity planning.
