About the Role

Our state government client is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to provide technical support across a variety of ICT Service Management projects. The role focuses on architecting, designing, and delivering solutions in alignment with organizational standards, while managing the provisioning of pre-production and production environments. Additionally, the role involves creating product roadmaps, collecting requirements, and managing application development, with a strong emphasis on maintainability, scalability, and emerging technologies.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and contributes the development of designs in specific infrastructure or functional areas. Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in architecture development.
  • Within a change programme, leads the preparation of technical plans, their delivery and, in liaison with operational areas and project staff, ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available and validated.
  • Provides advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
  • Values specialist expertise and capitalises on the knowledge and skills of others within the organisation. Contributes own expertise to achieve outcomes for the business unit. 
  • Builds and sustains positive relationship with team members, stakeholders and clients and is responsive to changes in client and stakeholder needs and expectations. 
  • Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner. Focuses on key points and uses appropriate, unambiguous language. Selects the most appropriate medium for conveying information and structures written and oral communication to ensure clarity. 
  • Building product roadmaps, requirements collection and release planning and scheduling for core product development.
  • Architecture, design, delivery and retirement of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Application Development Frameworks, championing maintainability, portability, reusability, testability, optimum abstraction, ease of use, optimum packaging and backward compatibility in the design.
  • Monitoring applications and middleware development landscape to gain knowledge and understanding of currently emerging technologies, architectural paradigms, patterns, and principles.
  • Using appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to design and contribute to the development of reusable solution architecture including producing detailed component specifications, documentation, use case examples and samples.
  • Undertake analysis for preparing comprehensive proposals for management outlining the technical viability of proposals for product development, identifying potential problems, and proposing alternative effective solutions.
  • Lead the activities in the delivery of products, including monitoring performance, providing advice, guidance and assisting in the formulation of solutions to complex system and programming problems associated with business systems or departmental application development frameworks.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Currently hold or held ServiceNow Admin Certification (or higher)
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, (e.g. ITSM, ITSM Pro, ITOM modules)
  • Currently hold or held ITIL Practitioner Certification (or higher)

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with large and complex ServiceNow architecture, administration, development, implementations, enhancements, maintenance, integrations, and data management.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and automation (Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Workflow Design).
  • Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management.
  • Experience with compiled, scripting, or query languages, including: ASP.NET, .Net Core, SQL Server, Angular, React, C#, Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps, JavaScript, Glide, HTML and CSS, PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (e.g. Azure Functions, Azure App Services).
  • Experience with Microsoft-centric cloud technologies, including:
  • Azure services (SQL PaaS, IaaS, Express Route, AAD)
  • Office 365 services (e.g. Dynamics 365, Teams, Power Platform)
  • On-premises Microsoft technologies (e.g. Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM) is an advantage.
  • Experience in producing technical documentation, including: Technical solution architectures, High-level and detailed designs, As-built guides, Operations guides
